I consider this one a bit of a public service. It's the soundtrack to an Australian public television nature documentary about the ocean from the early 70's . You may recognize a couple tracks from their appearance in the Wes Anderson movie The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. Sven Libaek is a legend in library music circles, crafting some of the most delicate tunes of the genre alongside Italian and French composers like Piero Umiliani and Cecil Leuter. This one sounds very aquatic, befitting its intended source. It's sort of jazzy but also loungy and poppy too. Just hear the composition! Lovely stuff.
The reason it's a public service is because I'm quite certain this is the only pristine rip of this thing on the entire Internet. There's a rip floating around on Soulseek, but many of the songs are badly corrupted and what's playable sounds like it came from a poorly treated copy of the original vinyl pressing. This CD re-release was a limited edition of 500 which is very out of print. I snagged the last reasonably-priced copy off of eBay. So enjoy!
(Note: Don't confuse this with the compilation called Inner Space (The Lost Film Music of Sven Libaek). That releases picks and chooses tracks from four of his scores; the tracks on this one all come from the Inner Space TV show.)

You are awesome
Thanks for this album :)
I’ve linked to your page in my post of ”the Jazz Sound of the Don Burrows Quartet” - mostly the same musicians as this album.
All the best,
Simon
Thank you.
THIS IS AN INFRINGEMENT OF COPYRIGHT. PLEASE REMOVE THIS IMMEDIATELY.
Anonymous, please email me at nuguy2010@gmail.com, or at least post another comment under a registered account so I can contact you. This album is out of print in the US and even, I believe, worldwide, so I don't see how it's a violation of copyright if copies aren't available to buy in the first place.
I'd be glad to discuss it with you, though, once I know who you are and in what capacity you're writing to me.
Please anyone do that favor of reposting this . Fuck this badmothfuckrs and their copyrights, they are dead anyway!!
